Sunnyside gave head coach Richard Sanchez something special last night: His 100th career football victory.
The Blue Devils (7-0, 4-0) defeated the host Marana Tigers 66-0 in a Class 4A Sonoran matchup.

It was Sunnyside's 19th straight win.

The Blue Devils are the only southern Arizona team without a loss.

Xavier Smith got three rushing touchdowns, finishing with 174 yards on 16 carries.

Jaime Cota threw for 66 yards and completed two touchdown passes, both to George Garza.

Looking back at his 100-37 record in 12 years at Sunnyside, Sanchez said two wins stand out.

"The two (state) championship games, that's what we work for," he said. "Those are the highlights, but we are just worried about playing Sunnyside football."
