At Sierra Vista, the Blue Devils scored 28 second-half
points en route to a victory over the Colts.
Trailing 7-3 at the half, Buena opened the third quarter
with two quick turnovers that opened the door for
Sunnyside's easy win.
• Highlight reel: SS's Manny Vera rushed for 155 yards on 19
carries, but Alfred Leon stole the show with two third-
quarter rushing TDs.
• Player of the game: Chris Howard. The senior caught three
passes for 85 yards and two scores, including a 6-yarder
from Julian Jones.
• By the numbers: 64. Nearly half of Buena's offensive
yardage came on a 64-yard strike from J.T. May to Ryan Witt
in the fourth quarter.
• He said it: "We got out of our game plan in the third
