Devils'
win streak reaches 18

The Sunnyside High
School football team had to sweat for a while before running
its winning streak to 18.
The Blue Devils
eventually took control and beat visiting Catalina 55-6 in a
Class 4A Sonoran matchup last night.
The Trojans (4-3,
2-1) led 3-0 in the first quarter and trailed just 14-6 in the
second before the Blue Devils took control.
Sunnyside outscored
Catalina 41-0 the rest of the way, including a three-touchdown
outburst in the second quarter.
The No. 1-ranked Blue
Devils (6-0, 3-0) led 35-6 at the half.
University of Arizona
recruit Xavier Smith
rushed for 150 yards on 14 carries for Sunnyside. He scored on
touchdown runs of 17, 15, 45 and 5 yards.
Catalina's David
Francoeur rushed for 115 yards on 13 carries as the Trojans'
four-game winning streak was snapped.
Sunnyside outgained
Catalina 320-162 in total yardage.
