Visiting Sunnyside improved to 5-0 on the year and 2-0 in the 4A Sonoran Region. Sunnyside took a 23-10 lead at the half, and Xavier Smith scored twice in the second half.

Key stats: Nathan Vega scored Sunnyside's first two touchdowns on punt returns of 60 and 71 yards. Smith finished with 203 rushing yards on 16 carries, including a 70-yard touchdown run.

Notable: Cholla quarterback Cody House returned for the first time since being injured in the Chargers' (2-3, 0-2) opening game. He was 5 of 14 for 122 yards, including a 80-yard TD pass to Jaime Torres.
