At Sunnyside, the Blue Devils scored two early touchdowns and went on to win easily over Phoenix South Mountain in the first round of the state 5A-II playoffs. Sunnyside (9-2) will play at Ironwood Ridge in Friday's quarterfinals.

The Blue Devils' defense limited the Jaguars to 147 total yards.

Sunnyside's passing game was hitting on all cylinders, gaining 355 yards.
